When we handle your data as your IT provider
When we carry out IT work for a customer, we may have access to personal data in the customer's systems. In those cases the customer is the data controller and GE4 is the data processor. We process the data only on the customer's instructions, under a data processing agreement.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We share it only where necessary, with:
- suppliers who help us with email, hosting and accounting, and who process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement
- our auditor and advisers
- public authorities, where the law requires it
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Some of our suppliers may process data outside the EU/EEA. This only happens with a valid transfer mechanism, such as a European Commission adequacy decision (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or the Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
- Inquiries that do not lead to working together are deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact.
- Customer data is kept for as long as we work together, and then for up to 3 years in case of claims.
- Accounting records are kept for 5 years from the end of the financial year they relate to, as the Danish Bookkeeping Act requires.
- Technical log data from the website is kept only briefly, according to our hosting provider's policy.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Fonts and images are served from our own server, so your visit is not shared with third parties such as Google.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you
- have incorrect data corrected
- have data erased when we no longer have a reason to process it
- restrict processing
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest
- receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (data portability)
To use any of these rights, write to kontakt@ge4.dk. We reply within one month of receiving your request.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet). We would appreciate the chance to resolve the matter with you first.
